Tony Barnes


About the artist: 1975 Tony studied pottery at R.M.I.T.
1976 He spent a year developing his experiences and skills by working with Robert Shultz of Everton Pottery in Glenrowan.
1977 Tony established Moonshine Pottery.
1978 Tony and Moonshine Pottery moved to Malmsbury.
For the past twenty seven years Tony has been producing an extensive range of functional pottery ware and ‘one off’ pieces, which have been shown in a number of exhibitions and art shows.
Tony's work is made with porcelain clay; it is hand thrown and fired in a 35 cubic foot fibre kiln to 1300 degrees centigrade. He utilizes a wide range of vibrant glazes, which he is continually expanding.
